Please see attached plans for this half term. This half term the children will be continuing to learn about the anglo saxons and will make anglo saxons houses. Comparing how they are different from houses we live in now. We will also be celebrating and learning about bonfire night and Diwali.
Welcome back Oak 3. It has been lovely to see you all again and welcome some new friends to our class.
Since being back the children have really enjoyed learning about Georgia O'Keefe and creating art work based on flowers, using leaves to help them. They have also enjoyed partaking in Art and DT day where we created our own desert pictures using leaves and different coloured materials. In PSHE we have been learning about different feelings and how people may feel in different scenarios e.g. on their birthday.
Our Topic for this term will be Settlers and invaders, looking at the Anglo-Saxon period. To help us learn about this topic we will be sorting things into old and new and making houses and shields.

Our topic this term is dinosaurs.For this topic we will be learning about the timeline of dinosaurs and comparing them to other animals.
In PSHE we will we will be thinking about what makes us special and celebrating our differences and in art we will be creating self portraits using different media.
Our topic for this term is the Animal Kingdom. To help us learn about this topic we will be looking at different animals and where they come from and comparing their habitats and characteristics. In PSHE we will be learnning about ourselves and how we grow and change. In art we will be using different materials to create different animal pictures.
Welcome back to 2019-2020 school year! Hope you had an enjoyable summer holiday and are ready to learn new exciting things. In Oak 3, we have been busy exploring different food ingredients like flour, sugar and eggs by making cupcakes. They tasted delicious and looked glorious!
