Welcome to Parkway Primary School.
I'd like to offer you a very warm welcome to our new website. We have worked hard over the last four weeks to produce a site which will provide you with all the information about the school that you may find useful. This will continue to be updated with staff now adding to the children's pages for their class.
Our site reflects our school which is made up of a rich and diverse set of students who come from a number of different cultural backgrounds which we celebrate. Our children all leave us having made good progress and as happy confident members of our wider society with the skills, knowledge and understanding for the next stages in their education. This positive approach to being at our school is seen through our good attendance and is noted by visitors to the school.
If you are to come and visit our school at present you can not have missed the fact we are in the middle of major building works which will prepare us to move from a one form entry primary school (one class per year group) to a two form entry primary school. Although this work is continuing into our Autumn term it is not stopping us enjoying our studies or learning to achieve.
Our school also provides a good education for up to 40 children with moderate learning difficulties, some with complex needs. This learning takes place in our provision. However, we ensure there are opportunities for children within the provision to join their peers in the mainstream for PE, art, assemblies and a range of other activities.
This term has seen the introduction of 'stay and chat', this is an opportunity for parents who come to see their child's class assembly on a Wednesday to stay for a tea or coffee and share their views with staff at the school.
We look forward to sharing with you many more of the exciting elements of life at our school on the website or seeing you in person.
